    Description:
At the NAAUG conference during the discussion on accessibility, someone mentioned that there was a list of shortcut keys which can be used in ALEPH. For people who have difficulty using a mouse, we are most interested in learning of shortcut keys for both the OPAC and the GUI client. We're going live with v.16, but can't seem to locate this on the doc portal. Even if they don't all work, as someone has said, we'd still like a starting point list if one exists.

    Resolution:
In the v16 Web Guide the information about shortcut keys can be found in the different modules like circulation, cataloging, acquisition in the overview section. There will be a section on 'working without a mouse' and this will give you the shortcut keys that are programmed in. You can also create your own shortcut keys in v16.02 by going to the ALEPH tab/options/customize and clicking on the 'Define Hot Keys' tab. As far as the Web OPAC is concerned, one can add "accesskey" shortcut attributes to HTML tags patrons may use frequently. example: <a href="index.html" accesskey="h">Home</a> <---- when one types "H", it will bring the cursor to focus on the link
