    Question

    How to setup a logical base for the OPAC?

    Answer

    A logical base is a predefined set of records based on specific criteria.  It is useful for searching in WEB OPAC because it limits a user’s search to be within a predefined set.

    The base has to be added to the following tables:

    (1) $alephe_tab/tab_base.lng

    Example:

    !         1          2           3            4     5     6     7   8     9
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!-!!!!!-!!!!!-!!!!!-!-!!!!!!!!!>

    WID                    Main Library         USM01             USM01 Y wsl=wid

    (2) $alephe_root/www_f_lng/base-list

    Example:

      <td class=text3>
         <img src="&icon_path/f-small-dot.gif" border="0" alt="">
         <a href="&server_f?func=find-b-0&local_base=WID">
         Main Library </a>
      </td>
