ILL-MODE setting in v19: head-1-nobor-ill, full-set-head-ill, etc.
- Article Type: General
- Product: Aleph
- Product Version: 19.01
Description:
In v19, we have ILL-MODE=1 in $alephe_tab/tab100, but the OPAC is using ILL pages instead of the non-ILL ones.
I don't want to use head-1-nobor-ill for the Full record page. I want Aleph to use full-set-head-nobor, just like it does in v18, but v19 insists on loading head-1-nobor-ill when I go to the Full record page.
Go to our v19 test server OPAC here http://library.abc.edu:8991/F?func=find-b-0
Do a search and display the Full record. Then display the source of the page, and you will see that the page that was loaded is 'full-set-head-ill' instead of 'full-set-head-nobor'.
For comparison, go to our v18 production OPAC here
http://library.abc.edu/F/?func=file&file_name=find-b
repeat the steps, and notice that 'full-set-head-nobor' is the page displayed for the Full record view.
I don't see anything in the documentation indicating a change in this regard. Please tell me where to find this update, (since ill-mode is not mentioned in the OPAC guides that I searched) and also indicate whether new or changed settings are required for v19.
Resolution:
It appears that in places where the v18 code used to add the name "full-set-head", the v19 code now adds the name, "full-set-head-ill".
In v18, the name of the file was determined by the setting of TAB100 ILL-MODE. Now, since Aleph only supports one ILL in v.19, the only thing it checks is whether there is a logged-in patron or not. If there isn't, it uses the file "full-set-head-ill-nobor". If there is, it appears to use "full-set-head-ill".
Since there does not appear to be any setting that you can use to change it, you'll need to adjust your files so that they expect these new names.
