    Problem Symptoms:
    * Checking in Items by barcode scanning sometimes generates a transit slip for a completely different barcode or for items without barcodes
    * Second scans of the barcode usually scan correctly and does not generate another transit slip.

    Cause:
    Configuration

    Resolution:
    1. Set the ITEM-BARCODE-OR-CALL-NO to "N" in the xxx50/tab/ tab100 (thus preventing badly scanned 1- or 2-digit numbers from being connected to blank, 1-digit, or 2-digit call
    2. Restart the pc_server

    Additional Information

    The same problem in *loaning* items is described in Article 000037132  (Loan incorrectly matches 1-character barcode to item lacking this value as barcode ) .
