    Installing Test and Prod instances on same server

    Desired Outcome Goal:
    Install a Test Aleph v21 instance on the same server as the Production Aleph v21 instance.

    Procedure:
    1. To create the Aleph 21Test application as an identical copy of the Production application the Ex Libris Installation Team needs to perform an Aleph copy installation. This is a chargeable service.

    2. To install a second Aleph 21 application (a Test instance) from scratch, the AIK can be run (by the customer) a second time:

    -- Back up the AIK directory /exlibris/ftp_from_exlibris/aik used during the previous Aleph 21 installation (for reference) by renaming it to, for instance, /exlibris/ftp_from_exlibris/aik.first
    -- Delete all other files and subdirectories from the directory /exlibris/ftp_from_exlibris
    -- Download the current version of the AIK 21 and extract it in directory /exlibris/ftp_from_exlibris
    -- Run through the AIK
    -- Select slot 2 (a21_2) as location of Aleph software
    -- Select database name other than aleph21 (-- such as aleph21t)
