Inventory load failed...OPatch cannot load inventory for the given Oracle Home

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
When running the AIK install Oracle step, 3_3 the following errors appeared in my terminal window.
I do not see any other indication of a problem in the logs, and the menu now says OK.

Inventory load failed... OPatch cannot load inventory for the given Oracle Home.
    Possible causes are:
Oracle Home dir. path does not exist in Central Inventory
Oracle Home is a symbolic link
    Oracle Home inventory is corrupted
LsInventorySession failed: OracleHomeInventory gets null oracleHomeInfo

    Can I proceed?
If there were patches it tried to install, how can I get those applied now?

    Resolution:
[From Ex Libris:] "You can go on and proceed with the installation. A more detailed answer will be published soon after consulting with the DBA team."

[From site:] I just proceeded with our upgrade. I had opened a couple of SI's with installation issues, it seems I assumed that a similar response to one of the others covered this one too.

I still do not know where my Oracle installation stands as far as the patch level Ex Libris intended to be installed. But it's been functioning OK.
