    Question

Is it possible to load RDA records into Aleph 18?

    Answer

The loading procedure for RDA records is the same as for Marc records. The structure of the records was not changed but only some fields. In Aleph 20 we implemented the new/modified fields in the standard environment of USM01. For Aleph 18 they are unfortunately not updated. That means if you want to load RDA records into Aleph 18 you have to adapt the required tables with the new/modified fields by yourself.

    Additional Information

Overview regarding the changes can be found here http://www.loc.gov/marc/RDAinMARC-10-12.html
