    Is there a log on the server that shows where hold slips were printed, e.g. a workstation or an IP address?

    Answer

    Yes. The following shows the login ID, username, and IP address of the machine where the print daemon was started.

    $ cd $LOGDIR
    $ grep -8 'Background Printing' pc_server_6991.log | more
    ...
    ...
