    Item Processing Status cannot be changed

    Description:
    We have an item. The processing status was changed to 'Remote Storage'. Now, we want to change it to another status. We open the item record, change the status, hit Update and close the record but the status does not change. I did this several times. Then, to test, I added a new Item, changed the IPS, Updated it and the Item Processing Status listed is Remote Storage! I added yet another item, and this time, I changed the Item Processing Status to Not in Process, then pressed 'Save Defaults', and then Updated. But when I went back to the Items List, the Item Processing Status for that item also said "Remote Storage'. Any idea how to fix this?

    Resolution:
    Your tab42 has been configured to trigger the insertion of the Item Processing Status 'DP' if there is a Remote Storage ID present in the Item Record. This is normally done to guard against catalogers assigning a Storage ID and forgetting to set the Item Processing Status. Check the items in question and see if there is something in the Remote Storage ID field. If so, remove the ID, make the change your want, save the record. If you don't like the trigger that's been configured, feel free to remove it.
