    Question

Why is item information for several items for one BIB record not combined in GUI?

    Answer

This behavior is caused by line
    # z30-barcode 5 space X
in table xxx01/tab/expand_doc_bib_z30. When the line is active it expands information from all item records into the title record even when all other Z30 fields (except barcode) are identical:

    Z30-1 L $$5004000219349$$hD. 1$$e202 p.
    Z30-1 L $$5004000219356$$hD. 1$$e202 p.
    Z30-1 L $$5004000219363$$hD. 1$$e202 p.
    ...
    Z30-1 L $$5004003042531$$hD. 1$$e202 p. ius ... et al.].$$dLibrary, 1998.$$z9986136407$$wXXX01-000017113$$aBook
