    Description:
We submitted a p_manage_35 job for abc01 last night, which, it seems, is done, but we don't see any entry for the job in the GUI Task Manager Batch Log.

    Resolution:
The batch log entries are written to the z100 table.

Looking at the $alephe_scratch abc01_p_manage_35 job log, we see that the job ends with:

    Error reading Z100 in usr_library
    Z100-REC-KEY:000001946
    Error reading Z100 in usr_library
    Z100-REC-KEY:000001946
    Wrote Z100 record with rec-key: 000001946
    Error reading Z100 in usr_library

At the beginning of the log we see this:

    Oracle error: handle_connection
    ORA-12537: TNS:connection closed

    Error writing to Z100 in:UDM50

Thus, this original failure to write the z100 (with rec-key 000001946) resulted in the program being later unable to read the record -- and in your being unable to see it in the Batch Log.

Note: if the only error was in the writing of the z100, the job probably completed successfully.
