    Question

What are the limits in Aleph WORD indexing

    Answer

The following limitations are valid for Aleph word indexing (independent from ADAM):

    a)  A field in a record can have 2000 characters at most

    b)  A maximum of 5000 fields from one record are indexed (here also virtual fields which are expanded into the record are considered)

    c)  For each document a maximum of 20000 words (from Aleph 22 on, before only 4950 words) are allowed for the word index
