    Question

We would like to get copies of the original, clean, unadulterated web files.

After running Upgrade Express to populate the target tables, the /exlibris/aleph/u22_1/alephe/www_f_eng directory contains many of our customized files from version 20. We had problems with our screens in version 20 and do not want to carry those over. We want to make sure, before we start customizing the web interface and web files, that we are using the latest, greatest, best, newest files from Ex Libris.

    Answer

As described in the article linked to below, Upgrade Express copies the original, uncustomized a-tree alephe files created by the AIK to ./ann_n/alephe.orig. The subsequent Service Packs place their ./alephe/ files (including their./alephe/www_f_eng files) in the ./ann_n/alephe/ directory).

Files to be customized need to be copied into $alephe_root/www_f_eng and edited there. Do *not* change/edit files under the A tree.
