    Maintenance Record - Z328

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
I'm seeing complaints for a missing z328 record (or at least an attempt to update such a record):

    Oracle error: update_cursor z328
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Error (get_buf_z328_item) : io_z328_start failed
    Info: Empty table /LUN0/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u18_1/alephe/error_eng/circ_item_tree
    Load: /LUN0/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/a18_1/aleph/error_eng/circ_item_tree

I see from the v18 znn.pdf that the z328 is a "Maintenance Record". Since we don't use Maintenance Records, it would seem that it should not need to check for z328. Can I update a file somewhere to tell Aleph not to worry about z328 checks?

    Resolution:
I don't know any setting which can indicate that you don't use the Maintenance function. Thus, it seems that this is another case where the table needs to be defined (in the ADM library), even if you do not use it.
