    Managing batch log size, error 'alloc error: batch_log_sort size

    Problem Symptoms:
    * Whenever opening task manager's batch log tab, the message 'failed to read reply' is displayed.
    * Error 'alloc error: batch_log_sort size : "213497496" is listed in $LOGDIR/pc_server_699x.log.

    Cause:
    Size of batch log files

    Resolution:
    1. Stop the batch queue for library abc50 (UTIL C/3 Stop Library Batch Queue)
    2. move/rename the following files in ./abc50/files
    - lib_batch_log
    - que_batch
    - que_batch_lock
    - que_batch_status
    - batch_log

    3. Restart the batch queue for abc50 (UTIL C/2 Start Library Batch Queue).

    Additional Information

    Since the batch log files are updated regularly, they will not be deleted by automatic clean up routines checking for update dates, therefore it is recommended to run the steps before the files reaches a critical size.
    The growth of the files is depended on the amount of jobs executed for the library and differ from site to site.
