    Question

In a setup with multiple BIB libraries (XXX01 and YYY01), each having its own ADM library (XXX50 and YYY50), should there be multiple USR libraries (XXX00 and YYY00)?

The patron records of ADM library XXX50 are mixed with those of ADM YYY50.

    Answer

There is only a single USR library -- that specified in the "setenv usr_library=" parameter in $alephe_root/aleph_start.

To display only XXX50 patrons when connected to XXX50 and only YYY50 patrons when connected to YYY50, the "Display Local Patrons Only" box must be checked in GUI Circ. To make this the default, change "BorrowersOnly=N" under "[UserList]" in the pc's .\CIRC\TAB\circ.ini file to "BorrowersOnly=Y".

    Additional Information

As noted in KB 29480 (Doc Fix - user_list_aleph_local Should Be Y), in version 18-up, the aleph_start "setenv user_list_aleph_local" parameter should always be set to “Y”.
