    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 19.01

    Description:
When the z39.50 server restarts, a date and time stamp is appended to the file name:

    -rw-rw-r-- 1 aleph aleph 13516849 Dec 24 03:00 z39_server_9909.log.2412.0310

The format appears to be DDMM.HHMM.

Can this be configured to be YYYYDDMM.HHMM?

    Resolution:
Yes, you can override the default naming convention of the server logs. It's done using $aleph_proc/rename_server_log, which is sourced in the various server startup procs - e.g., $aleph_proc/z39_server.
