    Description

If the return date exceeds the borrower's expiration date (z305_expiry_date), the return date falls back to the expiry date without any warnings to the staff. Is it possible to get such a warning ?

    Resolution

The variable involved in this is the xxx50 tab100 BOR-EXPIRY-DUE-DATE parameter.  The pc_cir_c0441 (loan) program unconditionally calls the fix_due_date routine.  fix_due_date -- among other things -- checks if the tab100 BOR-EXPIRY-DUE-DATE is not set to "N".  If not, then it performs the FIX-EXPIRY-DATE routine, which checks the proposed date against the suggested date, and, if appropriate, calls the CORRECT-DUE-EXPIRY-DATE routine to change the due-date to the expiry date.

Neither the pc_cir_c0441 nor the fix_due_date program produces a message in this situation.

This would be an enhancement request.
