    Description:
The docs for version 19 say there is a special group of 30 privileges for non standard batch jobs. We have more than 30 custom services that we need to assign privileges for. Can we group more than one custom service under a single PRIV-S privilege?

    Resolution:
Yes, this can be done. Just follow the instructions in section 7 of the SysLib Guide – Staff Privileges document. Let’s say you define 3 custom services for running 3 Acquisitions report you’ve defined. I’ll call these services p-custacq-01, p-custacq-02, and p-custacq03. If you want to group all three so that a single PRIV-S controls access to these reports, define PRIV-01 with the description ‘Custom Acquitision Reports’ in $alephe_tab/user_function.eng. Then, when you define the xml for the 3 custom services in $alephe_root/pc_b_eng, use PRIV-01 for all three (p-custacq-01.xml, p-custacq-02.xml, and p-custacq03.xml) in this section:

    <permission>p_priv_01</permission>

That’s it. All three will be controlled by PRIV-01.
