    Question

    When one starts a WWW Server or PC Server in util w/3, one is asked how many child processes are to be created, but how is the number of child processes which are started when a server is started by aleph_startup specified?

    Answer

    For the WWW Server the number of child processes is controlled by aleph_start:

    setenv N_OF_SERVERS 5

    For the PC Server, by pc_server_defaults:

    setenv PC_NUM_SERVERS 5
