    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Problem Symptoms:
The backup procedure failed and in the log there is this error message:
ORA-19502: write error on file "/filesystem/directory/file", block number xxxxx (block size=8192)
ORA-27063: number of bytes read/written is incorrect
SVR4 Error: 28: No space left on device

    Cause:
The filesystem where the backup procedure is writing is out of free space and the backup procedure stopped, leaving the Oracle instance not opened.

    Resolution:
    1)    Connect to oracle and shutdown the database instance.
    2)    Startup the instance
    3)    Login as aleph
    4)    cd $alephe_root
    5)    csh -f aleph_startup

Check if the www_server and the pc_server are working.
