Oracle error messages caused by DLF

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
We are live on Aleph 20 and are not using the ILL module. Every time patron information is called up from Primo via DLF API we see following Oracle error message in www_server_4991.log:

    DLF SERVICE: REC-SERVICES

    Oracle error: update_cursor z305
    ORA-00903: invalid table name

    Oracle error: update_cursor3 z410
    ORA-00903: invalid table name

    Can these messages be ignored?

    Resolution:
These messages happen as in your patron data field Z303_ILL_LIBRARY is filled with a real sub library. Aleph programs expect to find an ILL-unit from XXX40-library in this field. Customers not using ILL at all should leave Z303_ILL_LIBRARY to get rid off these error mesages. You can also ignore these messages as they will not interfere the functionality.
