    Oracle tables don't exist - upgrade v.18-v.21

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21

    Description:
We are going from v18 to v21. For the Upgrade Express 18 to 19, we are seeing error messages that state "table doesn't exist.:

    ABC50.Z67 table doesn’t exist
    ABC50.Z37 table doesn’t exist
    ABC50.Z70 table doesn’t exist
    ABC50.Z30 table doesn’t exist
    ABC60.Z00 table doesn’t exist
    ABC50.Z61 table doesn’t exist
    ABC50.Z00 table doesn’t exist

In our current v.18 production environment, all of these tables contain data.

util a/17/11/1 shows that the only tables in the abc50 library are: z00p, z100, z13u, and z200.

    Resolution:
The z00p, z100, z13u, and z200 were added by Upgrade Express for v19. It seems that all the other tables -- which should have been brought over from v18 -- are not there.

It may be that the Install Customer Data on the target server didn't work properly.

You need to examine the install_utree.log in one of the /exlibris/aleph/upgrade_express_1801_2101/logs/log.yyyymmdd.nnnnn directories. What does it show for abc50? It should have something like this:

    ...
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/USER
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/ROLE_GRANT
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/DEFAULT_ROLE
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLESPACE_QUOTA
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/PRE_SCHEMA/PROCACT_SCHEMA
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/SEQUENCE/SEQUENCE
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/TABLE
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/TABLE_DATA
    . . imported "ABC50"."Z30" 1.868 MB 4191 rows
    . . imported "ABC50"."Z00" 600.7 KB 2993 rows
    . . imported "ABC50"."Z35" 65.18 KB 486 rows
    . . imported "ABC50"."Z31" 890.8 KB 2991 rows
    . . <etc.>

If not, then either you did not specify loading of the Oracle data in the UE submission or the Oracle data was not actually brought over from v18.
