    Description:
If we want to implement the PDQ (Patron Direct Queue) functionality, do we have to use the Title Requests functionality or can we use hold requests at the item level ?

We know that using the Title Requests functionality is probably the most optimized option for PDQ, but if we don't want to use Title Requests, can we still implement PDQ with hold requests at the item level ?

    Resolution:
The Aleph -> Seminars -> Spearfish SD ELUNA Meeting (June 2007) -> Title Level Holds: PDQ in Version 18.pdf document on the Doc Portal describes two components to PDQ:

    1. Allow patrons to loan and return anywhere without prior registration

    2. Enable title level requests

#1 can be used and be in effect even if #2 is not enabled ... and the OPAC Items List Request button can remain.
