Description:
According to "Aleph Installation Kit"-documentation AIK is installing Aleph software under the directory /exlibris/aleph/a20_<slot> and Oracle software under the directory /exlibris/app/oracle/product/11.

Our IT center would prefer installing Aleph software under /a01/app/aleph and Oracle software under /a01/app/oracle/product/11. We plan to create softlinks from /exlibris-directories to actual directories under /a01.
Is this supported?

Resolution:
No, this is not supported.

AIK was developed and tested with all binaries compiled at /exlibris, and we can not guarantee all components work smoothly using soft links.
Ex Libris can not take any responsibility of problems related to this non-certified environment.
