Problem with Printing Barcodes in Label

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
    1. When the label height is 3500 in the prt_srv.ini, the barcode disappears from the preview window.
    2. When the label height is 4000 in the prt_srv.ini the barcode is displayed in the preview window, but when I click print the barcode is not printed in the label (only other textual data is printed)

    Resolution:
Here are several solutions related to the file prt_srv.ini:
    1. Change the label height to a smaller number or to make the width and height of the label much bigger so that it can contain the label
    2. In the barcode section choose "fontname=UPC-A" and comment out "fontname=CarolinaBar-B39-2.5-22x158x720". This will display the barcode in numbers rather than the actual barcode.
    3. To display the actual barcode, choose "short=Y" in the barcode section to display the barcode even if the label height is 3500
    4. In the contents section of item-issue-label-00 (or item-copy-label-00), set the bib info to be in one line instead of two, giving more room for the barcode: instead of this: bib-info=4-6,3 do this: bib-info=3. That way the bib info is not split.
    5. Change the size in this line: fontname=CarolinaBar-B39-2.5-22x158x720
Another reason why the barcode may not be displayed is itslocation in the label. If, for example, the ini file has this line: z30-barcode=6, the system will display the barcode in line 6, which might be outside of the lable's margins.
Try putting the barcode in a different line, e.g. : z30-barcode=3.
