Problems when we search titles like "Web 2.0"

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
Searching for a title like "Web 2.0" does not provide a result, despite there are definitely records in the database containing those words in the title.

    Cause:
    Configuration

    Resolution:
In xxx01/tab/tab_word_breaking, routine 90 del_dot is added. This routine deletes a blank between 2 words so that e.g. a search for "Web 2.0" is changed into "Web20". therefore nothing can be found when searching for more than one word. Modify xxx01/tab/tab_word_breaking the following way:

    Before:
    90 # del_dot

    Now:
    !!!90 # del_dot
    90 # compress .

    Additional Information

Afterwards daemon ue_01 has to be restarted. There's no need to re-index as routine 90 is only responsible for parsing the FIND query.
