    Description:
We've been notified by our DB admins that PUBLIC has execute privileges for several packages on both our production and test servers. For security reasons we need to revoke permissions for PUBLIC for the following packages:

    > DBMS_LOB
    > DBMS_JOB
    > UTL_FILE
    > UTL_SMTP
    > UTL_TCP
    > UTL_HTTP

If Aleph is taking advantage of PUBLIC to execute any of these packages we need to know what we can use in its place.

    Resolution:
Please ask then to grant execute privalges on the following packages to all of aleph applicative DB users:

    DBMS_LOB
    DBMS_JOB

With other packages there shouldn't be a problem.
