    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description

Is there an alternative way to make a read-only staff user in the Aleph 23 GUI than by creating one that has all functions/sub-functions defined as "Display" for each individual library in the GUI Staff Privileges -- Access Rights":

    For Example:
    xxx50
       Items Control
       Items - Display List
       Item - Display Form
       History - Display History List
Invoice field - Display Invoice Field

    Resolution

This is the only way we know of, but note that in order to display a BIB record without changing it, use the  ./xxx01/pc_tab/catalog/permission.dat ... (hide Section - Case DetailsCase Details).
