    Question

When running indexing with "Rebuild Word Index (manage-01)" as DIRECT customer ...

... 1) Do we have to comply with Ex LIbris?
... 2) Which processes must be stopped before running the indexing?
... 3) How many processes can be used?

    Answer

    1) You can run the job whenever you want without the permission of Ex Libris. However if you want to start a complete indexing or other hugh jobs it would be good if you could inform us before.
    2) The most important job that has to be turned off when the indexing runs is the ue_01 daemon.
    3) The number of processes may be double the number of CPUs your server has.

    Additional Information

Please see also document "How to run index jobs" with lots of detailed explanations and tips.

Note in addition that you have to keep a specific order when you run several indexing jobs!
