Description:
We find that self-check in-transit and regular check-in/check-out transactions create circ log (z309) entries; but self-check not-on-loan returns do not.

Resolution:
This is correct. The return of an item which is on loan will produce a z309_action 10 "Self-check return", but, while the return of an item which is not on loan produces a z309_action 29 (and z35_event_type 82) "Not On Loan Return" in the GUI, a self-check not-on-loan return produces z309 and z35 entries only if it needs to be transferred to another library.
