    Uninstall proceeded successfully

    Resolution:
The failure of programs to compile could be due to a system problem -- or it could be due to a missing or incorrect copybook.

To diagnose this problem, Ex Libris staff needs to try compiling the programs independently of the Service Pack install.

In this particular case the ./alephm/source/copy/BIB_FORMAT file (which is copied into *many* programs as part of their compiliation) had been accidentally modified on this customer's server.

Substituting the correct BIB_FORMAT file corrected the problem.
