Single sign on in SIP2 server

    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Question

What options are available for integrating our Self issue (SIP 2) Server with PDS, Shibboleth or LDAP for single-sign-on?

    Answer

PDS can not be used together with SIP2 Server as the SIP2 Server is not working web-based and PDS is using web-based technology.

    Additional Information

But the specific LDAP Interface that is available in Aleph may be relevant. For more information refer to document "How to Configure ALEPH with LDAP" (available in Documentation Center). To use this LDAP Interface you need to define Z308-records with verification-type 02. In this case Aleph programs (including SIP2) will look for LDAP Interface to authenticate the user.
