    Description:
    Space in URL in tag 856
    There is a problem with the external link in tag 856. If name of resource has one space, then link window hangs itself and it doesn't show anything. For example if we click on link as "http://www.gazzetta.it/calcio seriaA.htm" then link window hangs itself . If we replace space with "%20" (http://www.gazzetta.it/calcio%20seriaA.htm) then link works and it must tell "Not Found". This fact happens only on Aleph 16.02 , while there was not in Aleph 14. It seems the problem is management of space in URL. Now we are obliged to put space writing "%20" in Cataloging module, but in Aleph 14 it didin't happen. I have used both Explorer 6 sp1 and Firefox 1.0.

    Resolution:
    The incorrect 856 field should not appear in web OPAC. In order to prevent this ALEPH allows:
    1. Check during cataloging in Cataloging gui;
    2. URL Check (print-11). This service checks subfield $u of the related fields in order to determine the validity of an external URI/URL link.
