    Specifying XSL stylesheet in X-Server

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
Is there a parameter for the X-Server that will allow me to indicate an xsl stylesheet to use with the xml output?

To clarify, the question is if there is a URL parameter that could be added, for example, to an X-Services "op=present" request where the calling party could specify a stylesheet that they would like to use for the XML that is generated, in order to format the presented data? This might look something like this:

    http://mylib.edu:8995/X?op=present&set_entry=000000001-000000003&set_number=000936&base=usm01&style=http://web.xxxxx.edu/~library/x-server/xslt/SimilarityLookup.xsl

    Resolution:
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no. The X-Services.pdf file that explains the X-Services available shows all of the services and parameters that are currently supported.
