    Desired Outcome Goal:
    How can I prevent subfields to be overwritten in BIB record when expanding information from AUT record.

    Example: Author field 100 has subfield “e” (relator term) but is overwritten or emptied when the BIB record is updated from AUT record.

    Procedure:
    In table xxx01/pc_tab/catalog/scancode.dat in column 2 you have the possibility to assign subfields that shall not be overwritten when the field is taken from AUT record. See header of the table:

    ! COL 2. 20; ALPHA_NUM; ;
    ! Sub-field Code;
    ! Up to 20 sub-field codes that
    ! should not be overwritten when a heading
    ! is chosen;

    Add the "e" e.g. to field 100, 700 etc. After that you have to run util m/7 and restart the GUI client so that the newly created table package will be transferred to the client.
