    Problem Symptoms:
A system monitor shows that an "unable to extend temp segment" error has occurred, and the Oracle ./trace/alert_aleph2n.log (which can be seen in util o/3/1) has an "ORA-1652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP" error.

    Cause:
    Uncertain

    Resolution:
This problem and its handling are described in Article 000033341 ("Unable to extend temp segment by nnn in tablespace TEMP") ( https://exlibrisgroup--c.na26.visual.force.com/apex/VF_ArticleView?id=kA3320000004K7Q&srKp=ka3&srPos=0 ).

    Additional Information

As suggested in that Article, this problem will often be seen in connection with a particular function, but in this case it was unclear just what the function was.
