    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
    * In cataloging module the layout of the tag information differs from our previous version containing no style information
    * When packing the cataloging tables (util m_7) the following error message is displayed
    read_file: can't open [...]/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/xxx01/pc_tab/catalog/html/style

    Cause:
The HTML files .\xxx01\pc_tab\catalog\html_xx_nnn.html and style contain dos characters ^M stemming from wrong ftp transfer to the server

    Resolution:
1 A) Transfer the files again from the PC (ASCII) where they had been edited
    or
1 B) On Linux systems: use conversion programs such as dos2unix to convert to the correct Unix format

    2) Pack the cataloging tables with util m/7
