Following KB 16384-29537, we have turned off the Automatic Optimizer Statistics Collection and Automatic SQL Tuning Advisor. We find that the Automatic Segment Advisor ('auto space advisor') is also taking quite a bit of CPU and would like to turn that off. Should we?
The decision as to whether to change the auto space advisor from the default "Enabled" to "Disabled", is independent of Aleph. Unlike the 'auto optimizer stats collection' and the 'sql tuning advisor' tasks which are contrary to what Aleph wants, the auto space advisor may be serving useful functions in an Aleph Oracle,... but Aleph does not *require* that the 'auto space advisor' task be running.
