    Problem Symptoms:
    * When we upgrade the Solaris OS using their Live Upgrade procedures it copies the /opt directory and corrupts the Microfocus Cobol License.

    Cause:
Cobol installation mechanism corrupts the Microfocus Cobol License.

    Resolution:
Upgrade of the Solaris OS corrupts the Microfocus Cobol License. Unfortunately, we can't change the Cobol installation mechanism and place license DB in different place. It is not needed to reinstall the whole Cobol SW in case of license corruption; it's enough to recreate the runtime license only.

    * Delete the /exlibris/product/cobol5/ directory and use the Aleph installation Kit to re-install the license. See KB 16384-58849.
