    Description:
A patron reported that a recall on an item was cancelled.

The CIRC log shows the cancelled recall was done by a batch routine. What process does this?

    Resolution:
The p_cir_17 service enables you to identify, report and delete expired holds (i.e., hold requests whose "Last interest date" has passed). It produces a report or produces a report and *deletes the holds as well*.

I see that there were seven runs of p_cir_17 for abc50 between 12:00 and 12:01 on Dec. 13, and I see (from the z37h_time) that the z37h record for item 000005879-000010 was created at 12:00 on Dec. 12:

    02 z37h_time ......................201012121200242 [2010-12-12-12:00:242]

Therefore, the request was cancelled by p_cir_17 because the request had a z37_end_request_date of Dec. 11:

    02 z37h_request_date ..............20101127
    02 z37h_end_request_date ..........20101211
