The British Library is offering an alternative request submission service via BLDSS API in parallel to ARTEmail connection.
What plans does Ex Libris have for incorporating this into ALEPH ILL module workflow?
Answer
There are no plans to incorporate the BLDSS API into Aleph. This API is supported with Alma only, while Aleph customer should continue to use ARTEmail.
Note that BL's strategy is to encourage the use of the BLoD API while maintaining the ARTEmail connection in parallel.
BL has no plans to withdraw ARTEmail.
