    Question

    What updates cause the z30_update_date to change?

    Answer

    The following result in update of the z30_update_date:

    1) updates made via the GUI client Update-item function;
    2) updates by the manage-62 (Update item records)
    3) updates to z30_item_process_status via tab42; and
    4) restore of the pre-reserve item by the course-03 (Remove items from reserves collection) job.

    Additional Information

    Other updates, such as update of the

    Z30-DATE-LAST-RETURN,
    Z30-HOUR-LAST-RETURN,
    Z30-IP-LAST-RETURN, and
    Z30-NO-LOANS,

    do *not* affect the Z30-UPDATE-DATE -- though they can cause a z30h record to be written. See KB 5845 ("Unnecessary z30h history records").

    Adding other updates will require an enhancement suggestion for changing the program.
