    Question

Where is the Oracle listener log file?

    Answer

In instances created by the Aleph Installation Kit, the log file is usually /exlibris/app/oracle/diag/tnslsnr/xxxxxxx/listener/alert/log.xml, where xxxxxxx is the “host” (as seen in the $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora file).

In any case, the “lsnrctl status” command gives the “Listener Log File” location in its output. After Aleph has been installed, util o/2/4 (“Show Listener Status”) can be used to produce this same display.
