    Description:
I see all of the following in the GUI Services menu general print routines:

    p_print_01
    p_print_03
    p_print_04
    p_print_08
    p_print_09

    Which should I use?

    Resolution:
p_print_01: Prints the entire bib record. You have a choice of printing the records in Marc, Name Tags, or "Catalog card" format. ("Catalog card" format is the 037 lines in ./xxx01/tab/edit_doc.eng. You can change it to include the specific fields you want.)

p_print_03: Is used for outputting files of records in MARC format for exporting to a vendor, but can also be used (with Format "ALEPH Sequential" or "MARC XML") to print specific fields from the record. (The fields are specified as part of the submission.)

p_print_04: For the reasons described in Knowledge Base records 3905 and 5730, we advise against using p_print_04.

p_print_08: Prints selected bib fields in columnar format. Which fields are included is controlled by the ./xxx01/tab/rep_tab_short.eng table.

p_print_09: Prints a bibliography in "raw XML" format -- requires formatting by an external program set up for XML. You have a choice of printing the records in Marc, Name Tags, or "Catalog card" format. ("Catalog card" format is the 037 lines in ./xxx01/tab/edit_doc.eng. You can change it to include the specific fields you want.)
