    Question

Why do I have to create specific indexes for fields with text in CJK?

    Answer

CJK characters should be handled in a specific way (e.g. for correct sorting) and must therefore be defined in a special word breaking routine . See also document "Aleph Systems Librarian Guide - Indexing", chapter "6 APAC Indexing“.
