    Question

Is it possible to compress round brackets when parsing the search query for a direct index (type “IND” in xxx01/tab/tab00.lng)? Search for character string like “(2012)1390255” leads to no result because the brackets are compressed in filing routine for the direct index.

    Answer

The brackets which are compressed in filing routine nn lead to an index entry like “20121390255” which will not be found when you search for “(2012)1390255”. Parsing of the find query in routine 90 of nnn01/tab/tab_word_breaking does not work for IND index but only for WORD index.
