Word not showing up in keyword; "unique constraint (...Z97_ID3) violated"

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
Earlier today it became apparent that ue01 was not running. I restarted it this morning and now all the records are processed. We are still not able to search two records for a DVD title using the term "Sonnenallee" in title keyword either in the GUI or the opac (WTI). It does show up in title browse (TIT).

The system numbers are 004489196 and 004493501.

I checked the first record using util f/1/28. The term "sonnenallee" appears to be there. I tried resaving the record to the server using the util f/1/13. I got a screen of Oracle errors:

    Oracle error: io_z97_write
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (FCL03.Z97_ID3) violated

Other records do *not* get this error when re-sent to the server with util f/1/13.

    Resolution:
The active z97 is in the abc03 library, as a result of parallel indexing. After doing this indexing, the last-word-number in the abc01 util g/2 was not re-set to the new abc03 value.

As a result, any word which was not already in the z97 would get this unique constraint (because the new words it was trying to write would be using an already-existing number).

Setting the abc01 last-word-number to the abc03 value has permitted "sonnenallee" and other new words to be indexed.

But the following unix grep in the abc01$data_scratch shows that there are hundreds of records which have gotten this error:

    grep -c ABC03.Z97_ID3 *run_e_01*

To correct this, these records need to be reindexed, as follows: run p_ret_01 to locate the records which have been indexed since the last run of p_manage_01, and then use that file as input to p_manage_40 to generate z07 indexing-request records to be processed by ue_01.
