XML/XSL parse errors after applying Service Pack.

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
After upgrading from patch level 1762 to 1816, all staff stations get XML/XSL parse errors when attemping to Print or Preview reports.

I've run util I 6 and Version.exe to update .exe files and config files (edited alephcom.ini for each) .

    Resolution:
The ./abc01/pc_tab/catalog/html.pck was empty. The util i/6, which is supposed to create this, was failing to add the ./abc01/form_eng files to the $aleph_utf/.../abc01/form_eng files (which is where util i/6 expects to find them). It had the following error:

cat: /tmp/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u16_1/abc01/form_eng/supplier-letter-5.xsl: No such file or directory

The $aleph_utf was owned by root (apparently since the last service pack). Changing the ownership and rerunning UTIL I / 6 solved the problem.

    Additional Information

XML parse errors, XSL parse error
