Z353 table - What is it?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
What is the z353 table and what does it do?

    Resolution:
This table was added in version 16 to improve the patron list response time. It resides in the usr_library. Each line in the table is an index. The indexes are build using the batch job p-cir-25.

The job builds 3 types of indexes :

    ID (Z303-ID),
BC (Patron barcode taken from Z308 type 01) and
    NAME (Z303-NAME-KEY).

The key is saved in the fields Z353-KEY-TYPE (ID,BC or NAME) and Z353-KEY-DATA.

If the field Z353-LIBRARY is spaces this is an index line for the general patron list.

If the field Z353-LIBRARY has a library value (as USM50) it means the patron also has local information in the library and it will appear in the library "Local patrons Only" list.

The env parameter "user_list_aleph_local" which defines whether "ALEPH" in Z305 will be taken into account when showing Local user list, moved from pc_server_defaults to aleph_start.
